Nepal is a nation of 28.5 million people. It is also the only official Hindu state in the world. A fraction of the population - only about 0.5% - are Christians. But, the median age in Nepal is 20.8 years, and many of these young people are open to the Good News of Jesus Christ.

At One Voice for Asia we believe that God's time for Nepal is NOW! That is why we are committed to bringing the Million Leaders Mandate (MLM), a leadership training curriculum developed by EQUIP, to Nepal over the next three years (2009-2011).

In March 2009 we took our first trip to Nepal and were greatly encouraged by the spirit and the attitude of the believers that we met. The Christians in Nepal are hungry for the things of God. And, they are eager to grow and to learn the principles of His Kingdom.

We met a lady, from a remote mountain location, who walked for three days with her young baby, just to get to a town from which she could catch a bus to take her the twelve hours to Kathmandu where we held the

training. Wow! That challenged us to ask ourselves, "What are we willing to do to receive the things that God has for us?"

"...the best training we've ever had."

Over a period of three days we trainied more than 200 pastors and Christian leaders in the first notebook of the Million Leaders Mandate. They were very excited and encouraged by what they learned. Many echoed the sentiments of the one who said, "This is the best training we have ever had."

The Vision...

1. To host two training sessions per year, in the years 2009, 2010 and 2011.
2. To train and equip 500 plus Nepalese pastors or Christian leaders in Biblical leadership principles.
3. To print 5000 copies of each of the six MLM notebooks in the Nepalese language (translation is already complete).
4. To give at least 10 notebooks to each pastor or Christian leader so that they, in turn, can train other leaders.
5. To assist at least 100 pastors or Christian leaders from remote areas with transportation so that they can attend the training sessions.

2. That God’s plans and purposes would be accomplished in Nepal.

Each training conference costs us about USD $7,500.00 with the expenses falling into one of three major areas as follows:

1. USD $2,500.00 - printing of 5000 copies of the training notebook.
2. USD $2,500.00 - travel, lodging & food for a team of 2 to travel to Nepal and teach the conference.
3. USD $2,500.00 - food to feed up to 500 participants over the 3 day conference, transportation assistance for participants who come from outside the city, registration badges, writing pads, pens, etc.
